It's been a couple of months or so since my last update, and while I haven't had any writing done for the story, I have been making tremendous progress in terms of world building and changing up the story. Instead of it being mainly Separatists fleeing into the Companion Besh/Firefist satellite galaxy, it'll mostly focus on some of the numerous factions within it. Like, Firefist will still be a place full of mystery and exploration, but it will be one of territorial conflicts and turf battles. Which fits the whole "wars" in Star Wars, just not on a major scale like most conflicts are in the main galaxy. So a lot of influences will be had for this, like Mad Max and Pirates of the Carribean, as well as Wild West and Samurai influences. Like Firefist is an untamed but sorta civilized place, but instead of cities and huge industry, it's more like the Outer Rim in terms of being sparce, rugged, and adhoc. Like places will be ports, villages, towns, or bases with workshops or some small kind of labs or factories. Like not a lot of industry or urban if you get what I'm saying. Like some with be like the Original Trilogy modern in tech like the splinter Separatist and Imperial factions, with other more tribal like the Mandalorian Warrior clans as well as this mix between the Lost Tribes of the Sith and the ancient onces we see in the Tales of the Jedi comics. That's another thing, a lot of individual factions in this universe, with some small and some bigger than the other. Some of them native to Firefist, and some that immigrated to it. Again like the Imperial and Separatist ones, as well as obscure ones from the main galaxy, or those from the Unknown Regions. Heck even have a few that are extra-galactic like the Yuuzhan Vong or the droid ones like the Silentium or the Abominor (kudos to those that know who these are). But you're probably asking with all these factions in this smaller galaxy, won't some of them go to the main known galaxy often? Well... no.

Like the Bermuda Triangle or Hotel California, once you're in the Firefist galaxy there's no way out and you can never leave. Either because of supernatural forces keeping everyone inside the satellite galaxy, or those inside Firefist not wanting to leave for various reasons and desire. Whether that be endless battles and conquests to be had, or the vast ruins and hidden treasures lost within this galaxy. But overall, Firefist will be like a bubble lost in time, disconnected from and unaware of the current events taking place in the known main galaxy. Later I might post the list of factions since I'm still going through finalizing which ones will be in Firefist. Got about around 52, which I feel is about right for a small, but still big galaxy that's been left pretty empty and unfilled in Legends. Plus that amount is still pretty much a fraction of the amount there is in the main galaxy. But I digress, will have that list of factions posted later this week, as well as updates to the current cast of characters and new ones too.

Also one last tiny tidbit to the world building of Firefist, being the way it is, there isn't a main form of credits. Instead the main currency is refined Nova crystals (anyone who's played Galactic Battlegrounds knows what I'm talking about). And if one doesn't have currency in this galaxy. Bartering, trading, or offering services in return is usually the norm as well. Alright, that's going to be it for this update, will be back with another one hopefully soon. If not for some reason, Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!

After my last post from back in August, I finally done with all that moving business and now back to having a regular schedule in my life. So with that said, I can finally get back to work on my Star Wars Project, Star Wars: Firefist Tales.

However, I might be making some changes to what I had planned for it, with it maybe being set closer to the Original Trilogy Era than the Prequel Era. Also been getting some inspirations from the recent Star Wars Squadrons game, as well as other Star Wars games that I grew up with during the 90's and early 2k's like Shadows of the Empire, Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series, and even the old Rebel Assault games for PC and PlayStation 1.

That said, will still have a lot of Prequel influences as well, especially since I've been playing a lot of Episode 1 Racer as well. That, and a little bit of Bounty Hunter, Starfighter, Jedi Starfighter, the 2002 Clone Wars game, Republic Commando, and of the classic Battlefront games. So yeah, lot of the old "Legends" Prequel games back then. LOL

Speaking of old games, might play some Knights of the Old Republic I and II while going down memory lane, and there's plenty of spooky levels in it that's fitting for this month of October. Whether that be Korriban, Malachor V, or even the Peragus Mining Facility at the start of Knights of the Old Republic II. Oh yeah, good times.

Anyway, I digress. Will be getting back to focusing on my story project, and hopefully I will have the first chapter written down and uploaded onto DA, provided it doesn't give me issues again. If it does, Fanfiction*dot*net (I keep typing it normally and the damn thing keeps turning it into a hyperlink to the site, even when I remove said hyperlink!) will be the place I'll be uploading those chapters in the future!

SW: Update #3

1 min read

So yeah. After a month of busy work schedules, packing stuff for moving towards the new apartment, and fighting with DA's stash system and how to upload stories without those weird symbols replacing hyphens and other word symbols, the preview for STAR WARS: FIREFIST TALES is FINALLY UPLOADED!

At this rate I might as well consider using fanfiction.net for less hassle when uploading stories. That, and I may have to pause on this project because of the mentioned packing and getting stuff ready for moving. Oh well, life keeps hitting ya in all sorts of directions, the message this year seems to be really hammering on everyone.

Anyway, just glad I finally got around to uploading this story, and hopefully when I have more free time in the coming month I'll be able to get the prologue or first chapter done for STAR WARS: FIREFIST TALES! Until then, I have one more update ahead covering more of the story and showing off more art I commissioned of my characters a while back.

So yeah, check out the SW: FIREFIST preview and I hope you all enjoy reading it! Peace out!

Alright, so issue is fixed. Apparently the font for some of the symbols we're different and didn't change automatically when I copy and pasted the story to the sta.sh file. I'll have to remember that when trying to work on the next story on this site.

Anyway, will have that preview uploaded soon once I finish the last of proofreading. Don't want to have to fix any mistakes once in my gallery. Want to have a good first impression when uploading it.

So yeah, really starting to hate DA Eclipse! For some reason when doing a preview for any of the drafts I put into my stash, some of my symbols get replaced with black diamonds with question marks inside them. Still not sure how to fix this, but any of you know's how to, please let me know.

Also, while still working on Chapter 1, I do have a general preview finished. Not related to Chapter 1, but something to show off and get some feedback. Will try to upload later when I solve my current issue.
